Welcome to Blue Ridge Dive Club, we
are one of the few Dive Clubs in the Western Piedmont of North
Carolina that was organized and is run by local divers. Blue
Ridge Dive Club promotes comraderie, diver education, and conservation
of North Carolina's marine habitats. Also to keep divers involved with
the sport and find opportunities to explore the underwater world
without having to spend a fortune.
Our
last Club Meeting and Event that was held at Lake James State Park was
a great success. Even with rain in the area that did clear out in time
for the event, we had a great turn out from club-members. About 25
members, family, and friends made it out to enjoy some barbecue,
hamburgers, and lots of fixings. Thanks, to everyone that had pitched
in, there was plenty of delicious food.
After
the meeting and lunch, lots of divers braved the cooler waters of Lake
James. Scuba Adventures had a Full Face Mask on hand for people to
try.All around it was a great turn out and a good time for everyone
that made it. Even had some prices for everyone in attendance.

We
try to have a social event once a month. Most events will involve
getting wet and enjoying some dives with our club buddies. But we also
will on occasion have a guest speaker to inform, or educate our members
on a dive related topic.
For
this year some of the events include a cook-out at a member's house on
Lake Hickory, a dive outing to Bluestone Dive Resort (Quarry), skills
day at Lake James, and several other Club gatherings that should
promote comraderie and keep everyone diving. And of course should be
lots of fun.
